Local to Smyrna, Mary (she/her/they/them) is a traditional artist learning to tattoo.

Mary's artwork explores the curious juxtaposition of nature, humanity, and the infinite universe through illustrations of simple objects, plants, animals, and playful applications of color.

Mary is from Southeast Georgia with a B.A. from GaSou. She spent almost two decades in the corporate world while teaching herself how to paint, including a stint as aTwitch streamer were she would paint live for an international virtual audience.

She is now a full-timeTattoo Apprentice and Artist. All support will go directly towards tattoo supplies for her budding new career and lifelong dream.

My name is Mary, and I’ve been an artist since I could hold a crayon. A real crayon.

I am a traditional artist with decades of experience, currently on my journey as a Tattoo Artist.

 Mary’s Skillsets

  • I’ve been an artist since I was a child. This is the most important fact about my life that I want you to remember.

    I have a corporate professional resume’ that I built over two decades working in retail, background screening, payroll, and small-business ownership.

    Oh, and I have a Full-Stack Web Development Certificate from Georgia Tech. Ask me about that sometime! I manage this website myself, and I design all of my media/content/flyers/logos/etc. myself.

    I have a Bachelors of the Arts from Georgia Southern University, with Cum Laude honors. My Major was Writing and Linguistics with a minor in Figure Drawing. This means that I am ‘classically trained’ in the fundamentals of drawing, and I spent a lot of time drawing nude models with charcoal.

    After college, I started exploring with color via acrylic paints (look for my Vortex paintings).

    I was a Twitch Streamer, and one of my dear friends from the UK sent me my first watercolor set.

    Since then, I have been attempting new techniques and pushing my artistic skills to new levels with new materials such as gouache, acrylic ink, and India ink.

    Last fall, I began my apprenticeship under an incredible mentor and tattoo artist of 17 years. Here I am today.

  • That’s right! I’ve volunteered to help various causes throughout my life. The skills I’ve obtained from those experiences enhance my life. Aske me about them sometime, or about my resume’ if you’d like to see it.

  • Well, I used to be private but here I am sharing everything. It’s all out there already I think.

    I’m a weirdo, and I love my weirdo friends. I’m colorful, I am a good person, and I am told I give ‘golden retriever’ vibes.

    I’m pretty open, don’t be afraid to approach me with whatever questions you have. It’s simple, if I don’t want to answer, I reserve the right not to answer.

    I have the best dog in the world, his name is Reggie, and I have a highlight section on my Instagram for him.
